Storm Of 7-13-2006, Union MO, 63084

Here you can Actually see the rain move into the area. the darker grey is where it is raining.
This is a few minutes after the last picture where the rain is pouring everywhere.
We have a few storm drains in our yard but this one comes from the street above ours. It was enough to have the water lift the cast iron top and let the water out, this is about HALF of what is was doing. I couldnt find my camera in time.
This is one of the several intersections to flood. I helped build this drain system and nothing could have worked better, it flooded but with 4 inches in less than 30min will do that. This is about 2foot deep in some ares.
We just finished this retension pond a few days ago, in this picture you can see the water is about a foot away from going over the emergency spillway. Before this picture was taken it was reported that the water was over the spill way which means the water rose more than 8 feet.
This blew several homes away and landed in the street, due to the high water we could not move it by foot nor car. I had to go get out equ to move it back into their yard.
Here is the lowest part of our subdivision and it has about a foot and a half of water sitting here. The next day the city was there and is thinking of having us repour the curb higher.
