Project 0718, CP 85 CTC Panel
Gathering Materials-
First thing was to find a old dispatchers panel and a bunch of relays to use with it. A good friend traded me a old panel he had for some SA-Searchlights. Thanks again Rich! The next thing was to find a better way of having 27 some relays out, the test for this I used Transport Model E-5 relays which took up alot of room. IRM helped out and we traded a old Union Switch & Signal 504 Field unit for some arresters and rectifiers. Thanks Julie!
Plan-
The idea was to get use "stick" circuits that Rich designed for me and connect the buttons on the panel to the relays.
Operation-
After getting the panel I started to remove the hundred wires, after that I took on the task of soldering new ones on. I used a 25pair phone line and soldered the signal connections first. 50 wires in and I had no more wires for the switch connections so I left them out. Now getting the 504 machine ready was another story. There were a few hundred wires and connections that needed to be removed, cleaned, and resoldered. Took a few days but I got it done, then I connected the panel and maching together and tested it out. Worked great! Sounded Great!
Final-
The CP 85 Panel now hangs on my wall for people to traffic fake trains and change signals, someday it will actually change signals and traffic fake trains. The 504 Machine sits on my computer desk to the side of the panel. The glass is missing but I'll get it refitted someday.

The panel before it was shipped to me.
Heres the back view of the 504 machine after I had removed the old wires, not even half way done here.
Heres the panel connected to the 504 machine and running.
Panel mounted on the wall and the machine sits on my desktop.
